Niccolo pizzeria: branding

In the spirit of marrying the concept of tradition and boldness, we decided to create a wordmark. This logo is the central element in Niccolo Pizzeria’s visual communications system. By making consistent and repetitive use of the logo in all of the restaurant’s visual communications, it becomes recognizable and associated with the brand and its attributes. We decided on a glyphic serif for our wordmark, which is both a traditional and bold typeface. This typeface uses triangular serif shapes and adorns that emulate an inscription rather than a pen-draw text.
